Na bijna twintig jaar heeft het bestuur van Dutch Romanian Network besloten de activiteiten van DRN te beëindigen en de stichting per 30 september 2026 op te heffen.
DRN werd in 2007 opgericht, door Ben Jager en anderen, in een tijd waarin Roemenië volop in ontwikkeling was. Ons doel was om ondernemers, bedrijven en organisaties uit Nederland en Roemenië met elkaar in contact te brengen, kennis en ervaringen uit te wisselen en zo bij te dragen aan de economische samenwerking tussen beide landen.
In de jaren daarna hebben we vele bijeenkomsten en activiteiten georganiseerd, zakelijke contacten gelegd en ondernemers uit beide landen met elkaar verbonden.
Maar de wereld van 2026 is een andere dan die van 2007. Roemenië heeft zich sterk ontwikkeld en heeft inmiddels een stevige plaats binnen de Europese Unie. Ook de economische samenwerking tussen Nederland en Roemenië is veel vanzelfsprekender geworden.
Tegelijkertijd zien we de belangstelling voor het lidmaatschap van DRN teruglopen. Voor het bestuur was dit aanleiding om ons af te vragen of DRN, met de doelstellingen waarmee de stichting in 2007 werd opgericht, nog voldoende aansluit bij de huidige situatie. We zijn tot de conclusie gekomen dat dit niet meer het geval is.
Dat betekent niet dat er geen behoefte meer is aan een Nederlands-Roemeens netwerk. Een aantal van onze leden is inmiddels gestart met de opzet van een nieuw platform met doelstellingen en een vorm die aansluiten bij de huidige tijd.

Voor het Dutch Romanian Network zelf komt hiermee na bijna twintig jaar een einde.
We kijken met trots terug op wat DRN in die periode heeft bereikt en danken onze leden, sponsoren, partners en alle anderen die daar een bijdrage aan hebben geleverd de afgelopen jaren.

Iedere ondernemer ziet dat we in een periode van grote veranderingen zitten. Ook ondernemers moeten zich daarop voorbereiden en kunnen inspelen op wat er verandert. Op dit moment is er veel in beweging.
De ondernemersorganisatie zal verdwijnen, maar er zijn ook nieuwe initiatieven om ons beter voor te bereiden op de toekomst.

After almost twenty years, the board of the Dutch Romanian Network has decided to wind down DRN’s activities and to dissolve the foundation with effect from 30 September 2026.
DRN was founded in 2007 by Ben Jager and others, at a time when Romania was undergoing rapid development.
Our aim was to bring together entrepreneurs, businesses and organisations from the Netherlands and Romania, to exchange knowledge and experiences, and thereby contribute to economic cooperation between the two countries.
In the years that followed, we organised numerous meetings and activities, established business contacts and connected entrepreneurs from both countries.
However, the world of 2026 is different from that of 2007. Romania has developed significantly and now holds a firm place within the European Union. Economic cooperation between the Netherlands and Romania has also become much more commonplace.
At the same time, we have seen a decline in interest in DRN membership. This prompted the board to ask whether DRN, with the objectives on which the foundation was established in 2007, still adequately reflects the current situation. We have come to the conclusion that this is no longer the case.
This does not mean that there is no longer a need for a Dutch-Romanian network. A number of our members have now begun setting up a new platform with objectives and a structure that are in keeping with the present day.

We look back with pride on what DRN has achieved during that time and would like to thank our members, sponsors, partners and everyone else who has contributed to this over the past years.

Every entrepreneur can see that we are in a period of major change. Entrepreneurs, too, must prepare for this and be able to adapt to these changes. There is a great deal happening at the moment.
The business organisation will cease to exist, but there are also new initiatives to help us prepare better for the future.

După aproape douăzeci de ani, consiliul de administrație al Dutch Romanian Network a decis să înceteze activitățile DRN și să dizolve fundația la data de 30 septembrie 2026.
DRN a fost înființată în 2007, de Ben Jager și alții, într-o perioadă în care România se afla în plină dezvoltare. Obiectivul nostru era să punem în contact antreprenori, companii și organizații din Olanda și România, să facilităm schimbul de cunoștințe și experiențe și să contribuim astfel la cooperarea economică dintre cele două țări.
În anii care au urmat, am organizat numeroase întâlniri și activități, am stabilit contacte de afaceri și am pus în legătură antreprenori din ambele țări.
Însă lumea din 2026 este diferită de cea din 2007. România s-a dezvoltat puternic și ocupă acum un loc solid în cadrul Uniunii Europene. De asemenea, cooperarea economică dintre Țările de Jos și România a devenit mult mai firească.
În același timp, observăm o scădere a interesului pentru calitatea de membru al DRN. Pentru consiliul de administrație, acest lucru a constituit un motiv să ne întrebăm dacă DRN, cu obiectivele cu care a fost înființată fundația în 2007, mai corespunde suficient situației actuale. Am ajuns la concluzia că acest lucru nu mai este valabil.
Asta nu înseamnă că nu mai este nevoie de o rețea olandezo-română. Unii dintre membrii noștri au început deja să pună bazele unei noi platforme, cu obiective și o formă adaptate vremurilor actuale.

Pentru Dutch Romanian Network în sine, aceasta înseamnă sfârșitul activității după aproape douăzeci de ani.
Privim cu mândrie înapoi la ceea ce a realizat DRN în această perioadă și le mulțumim membrilor noștri, sponsorilor, partenerilor și tuturor celor care au contribuit la acest lucru în ultimii ani.

Orice antreprenor observă că ne aflăm într-o perioadă marcată de schimbări majore. Și antreprenorii trebuie să se pregătească pentru acestea și să se adapteze la schimbări. În acest moment, lucrurile sunt în plină mișcare.
Organizația antreprenorilor va dispărea, dar există și inițiative noi menite să ne pregătească mai bine pentru viitor.
