The use of personal data

Uses your personal data for:

  • Providing access to our website;
    Not all of our websites are free to visit. Our customer portals are accessible behind a login for which we store your username, customer number and password.
  • Using the functionalities on our website;
    When you use our websites, using specific features such as the domain name checker, we store the search results. To save items in your shopping cart (if applicable), we use a cookie which is stored on your computer by your browser.
  • The performance of agreements, transactions and services;
    To correctly execute our agreements we store the following data: company name, title/sex, initials, last name, street, number, zip code, city, country, phone number, cell phone number, e-mail address, VAT number, position and department. For the financial settlement by direct debit we also store your IBAN and the name of the bank account (if applicable).
  • Relationship management, including contacting you if you request it;
    For this purpose, we store your e-mail address, your mobile and/or landline phone number and your address (street, number, suffix, city, country).
  • Gaining insight into the use of our website;
    To better understand the interest of our visitors, we use Google Analytics for some of you. Data in Google Analytics is kept for up to 26 months and includes your IP address.
  • Sending a newsletter;
    to send a newsletter, we process your e-mail address, first and last name and language. We only process this data if you provide it to us by registering for the newsletter on the websites or if you provide it through Dutch Romanian Network.nl. We will keep this information in our newsletter list of addresses until you unsubscribe from the newsletter or up to 1 year after we last sent you a newsletter.

  • Registering, moving and maintaining your domain name registrations;

    when you request us to register a domain name we use the following personal data; company name, title/gender, initials, last name, street, number, suffix, fax number, zip code, city, country, phone number, cell phone number, email address, VAT number, position and department, company type and province. For specific domain name extensions (TLDs), more information may be required such as place of birth, birth zip code, country of birth, date of birth, Number of passport or identification card, identification card issuing authority. Also, an ID and password may be required which you have received from the registry.

Retention periods

We will not retain your personal data longer than necessary to fulfill the purposes stated in this privacy and cookie statement.

Confidentiality & disclosure to third parties

We handle your personal data confidentially. We do not provide the personal data we collect through our website to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Further, we will not provide the information you provide to other parties unless you have provided prior consent, it is necessary in the performance of the agreement or we are permitted or required to do so by law or the agreement.

For the registration of domain names it is necessary to provide your data such as name address and contact information to the registry in question that performs the registrations of the domain name extension in question as, for example, SIDN does for .NL.

Data Security

Dutch Romanian Network, uses careful security procedures for the protection of the data processed, including to prevent unauthorized access to this data. For example, we ensure that only the necessary people have access to your data and that access to your personal data is protected.
All of our customer portals are SSL certified.

Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of information stored on your computer by your browser.
Cookies allow us to collect information about the use of our services and to improve and adapt them to the needs of our visitors. Our cookies provide information related to person identification. Captcha, to protect our contact forms from robots and scripts, they are equipped with a so-called Captcha (from Google). To do so, reCaptcha uses existing cookies previously set by Google services. Additionally, reCaptcha places a cookie containing information about the cookies already placed by Google in the past six months, how many clicks were performed in the corresponding window, the CSS information of the corresponding page, the date, the language of the browser, any plug-ins installed in the browser and all JavaScript objects.
